I want to start golfing. I’m just going to buy a full set to start out, and as I get more into golf buy seperate clubs, basically upgrade, buy a new driver… etc. What is a good full set to start out with? I was thinking top-flite or Adams. My budget is 0. Post some links.

I would like 2 play golf and I always played baseball in the summer so I’ve never really played before. I’d like to get to the point where I can play a course and not embarass myself 2 bad lol. My dad has an old set of Ping clubs. They were top of the line but that was 15-20 yrs ago. He has actual wood drivers thats how old lol. I would like to buy a whole new set if I could get a good price but I definitely need a new driver and 3 and 5 wood or whatever. So where can I get these? What websites? How about used? What brands are good, since Ping, Nike, Callaway, etc. are out of the question, most likely, how are the other lesser known cheaper brands…Ram, Adams, etc. I need men’s clubs not juniors. So I want to get cheap but decent golf clubs…I definitely need a new wood set but I think I need a whole new set. I see some on Ebay really cheap– 9-9 Wilson Blackjack set. How is this?

Any help appreciated. Thanks!

Id like to buy Adams A70S hybrid irons. I figured that since they were hybrid I could use them in-place of fairway woods also and only have to buy the driver and putter. Can I forego fairway woods with the ability of these hybrids?

I play golf about 5 times a week I have recently lost distance in my driver and irons and I replaced my driver and immediately gained more distance.
My irons groves dont look worn and I still have good spin but I have have distance. Could they be worn also and if so should i replace them, and besides playing does cold weather and water wear clubs out

They are Adams A3 which have hybrids in 3,4,5 hollow backs in 6,7 an cavity backs in 8,9,pw. nd
I have lost distnce in the clubs that I hit a lot so I have odd gaps in distances

I’m 15 years old and I have an 8.1 handicap.
It should be lower, but I always throw away a few short game strokes, along with about one drive that I try hitting too hard and end up topping.

I play at the Bridges Golf Club in San Ramon, CA. It’s the 4th hardest course in Northern California.

I go to De La Salle high school. Best Sports school in the country. Last two years, we’ve won state and this year, came in 3rd.
I played on the JV team last year (freshman) because I had only been playing golf for about 1/2 year.

I’m pretty much self taught. I took a few begginer lessons, and just played on my own for a bout a year, and I’m now training with a great coach as I’m playing in more tournaments and stuff.
My coaches website: http://www.systemgolf.com/

I’m a member of the JGANC (Junior Golf Association of Northern California). They have lots of tournaments year round.

I think that’s about it!
