LOL I say that half jokingly but I wanted to invest in some new clubs so I purchased the Adams OS set of irons and hybrids and next was the driver. Since I am a high handicapper 30+ strokes I decided to purchase the TaylorMade Burner Draw. Hated it so I sold it and bought the Nike Sumo2 SQ 5300 MOI driver and I can’t hit it either. I know you are going to say its not the club its me and yes I know that as well. However, I had a Nike clone driver with a 12* loft that I could hit fairly well so thats why I figured the 13* Nike driver would be a wise choice but I am having big time trouble hitting it as well. I am topping the ball and hooking it just like I did with the TaylorMade driver. My swing speed has been timed in the upper 80′s to mid 90′s. Do lessons really help a bad golfer that much?? Is there a club that helps golfers like me make better contact then the two new clubs I have tried so far??

I keep reading so may great reviews of the Wilson Fybrid system, and I am thinking of getting one or two of the clubs, but I don’t know which one to get. I am leaning towards the 19.5 fybrid club, but I am not sure what to pull from my bag. I currently play Adams Golf Ovation-2 Fairway Woods, 3 and 5, and Hagen 21 and 24 degree hybrids, which l absolutely love. I was thinking of using the 19.5 and taking my 5 wood out of the bag, but now I wonder if I should get the 5W club and take out my current 5 wood. I think 19.5 and 21 degrees are too close for the clubs. Does anyone play these clubs, what did you play before you got these, and how do you like them?

Thanks!

I think I am beginning to go through a growth spurt..but I just had new clubs cut down for me so I could play freshmen golf…they were Top Flite XL’s and a few clubs added…I am going to play with them for this season of golf but I feel next season I am going to need new clubs. Does any one know any good brands for a mid handicapper. I also provided a lit of clubs and could you tell me what you think of them:

1. Driver (not sure of loft)
2. 3 wood
3. 5 wood
4. 3 hybrid
5. 4 hybrid
6. 5 hybrid/iron (not sure..aiming to hybrid though)
7. 6 iron
8. 7 iron
9. 8 iron
10. 9 iron
11. PW (48°)
12. SW (56°)
13. LW (60°)
14. Putter
*15. GW (52°)*
I know you can only have 14 clubs..but I will change my wedges depending on the course, and my Dad usually lets me play with 15 clubs…so I will have an extra with me…and I usually count my clubs before major tournaments..I you could help I would appreciate it

p.s. I know Adams are good hybrids, and I prefer meaty cavity back irons.

I’ve always used a cheap set of irons and driver/3W/5W. I shoot mid 90′s to low 100′s. I have a yypical righty fade/slice on most shots, though I do hit some really good shots mixed in. I’ve been going to golf shops, etc looking around and asking questions. Seems the consensus is that I need game improvement irons? Also, that I should definitely get fitted for clubs. I’ve been recommended: Taylor Made RAC OS2′s, Taylor Made r7 Draw, Adams a3 OS, Cobra S9, Callaway Big Bertha 06 and 08, Nike Slingshot OSS. There are so many choices and things to consider. I really want to work toward shooting in the 80′s and I really want to make my new club purchase worthwhile and get the right clubs for me. Anyone (especially serious golfers) who can tell me anything, either advice in general as to what I should be looking for, or any club recommendations (either the ones I’ve listed or otherwise) would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have a problem hitting the golf ball high, with almost all clubs. I am an 8 handicap, and play Ping i10 irons, custom fit to my specs. I play an Adams Insight BTY 10.5 degree driver with a stiff Prolaunch Red shaft. My driver launch angle is 11 degrees (roughly) and I want to get it up to about 14 or 15 at least. (ball speed is 155)With my irons (long irons especially) I also have trouble launching the ball high, which makes it hard to stop on greens and have better distance control. I have a short backswing, an aggresive and somewhat steep downswing. I’m not very flexible so a longer golf swing is tough. Any suggestions? References to website tutorials would be much appreciated.
